I am from the town of Sarina in QLD, where the only beer is XXXX drunk in tins 30 at the time (if you don't have the money then it is horrible GULF, still drunk in tins) which I guess drove me to homebrew and the fact that Kmart sold me and my mates our first kit at 15 when the grog shop wouldn't serve us (not much progression on the brewing front in the first few years, just wanted alcohol content and were willing to sacrifice lots of taste) and have just turned 20.

Age 32. Work in IT.

Currently living in Box Hill, Eastern Suburbs, Melbourne
Originally a country boy from Horsham, Western Victoria.

I've been told the ancestors left Germany for OZ back in the 1850s.
Obviously didn't do it for the beer.

Cheers

Postby Jay » Tuesday Jan 18, 2005 3:42 pm

22 yo Newcastle, NSW, Australia. Got into brewing last year and have just brewed my third batch. Funnily enough I'm gettin called an old man by my mates coz apparently homebrewing is for grandpas. (Not my opinion obviously)
