How many kegs (Kilo's) do you weigh?

Postby Boonie » Thursday Feb 21, 2008 6:29 pm

OK, now that I have been drinking HB for 3 years, I have gained a mere 5kgs.

I'm a solid 79kgs and was wondering how the rest of us rate in the kegs category.

I'm 5ft 6 and a half so apparently I am overweight for my height.....bulldust I say........

My guess for gregb from the photo's would be 65 kegs as he looks like a fit bugger. 8) and he can run a long way  fast at that...

This poll is not to see who the heaviest or lightest is, nor to point fingers as we all range in height and build......just curious.

Cheers

About 87 kegs here boonie and im just under 6 foot and yes i have a bit of a beer gut, i almost went the top option in the poll but thought it would be a cop out

P.S have deffinately gained some weight through beer consumption but hey we all have our flaws and i wouldnt think that your weight at your size should be to much of a concern, start gettin really, really worried when you get to 80

I've put on weight since I started brewing my own beer, but not because of the beer. I quit my job at around the same time and am clearly not getting as much exercise as I was. It is this that has seen me get heavier - but still well below 80kg and (apologies) only 6'1" tall...

After getting the chat from the doctor about blood pressure, colestrol & the risk of a heart attack, I have managed to come down from 85 to 79. Bloody doc whants me to be 75. Last time I was 75 was when I was 18 years old and looked scrawny. I think I will be happy in the high 70s.
Its not the beer that puts the weight on, Its age & food.

I'm 60-65kg.. it fluctuates... i start to worry abit when i weigh about 60 and i'm still wearing my chlothes and shoes. i dont think i could get a beer gut if i tried (i'm giving it my best shot). I do play a little sport (table tennis), which does keep the metabolism up, and i dont eat alot of junk food.

today... i'm 64.8kg

I used to be over 80kgs before HB and used to go to the gym.

Now I'm under 80kgs but have lost most of my muscle mass and replaced it with the start of a beer gut.

I don't blame the HB, it is more the sitting on my arse reading forums. So I guess you guys are to blame :P

I'm 178cm tall (just under 6 foot) and weigh just over 80kgs last time I checked. That puts my BMI at about 26, which is overweight. Normal is 18.5 to 24.9, so I've got a bit of weight to lose. I don't have a gut, but yeah I'm pretty well covered and would like to lose a few kilos. I'm blaming the collar bone. I've just started going back to gymnastics, and I'm definitely unfit, couldn't even make it through the first class (spent half an hour lying on a bench trying not to puke after conditioning, which was mostly pushups, burpies, v-snaps and squat jumps on 30 second rotations).

It's where you lay on the ground with your arms above your head, then you snap up in one move into a v-shape with just your butt touching the ground and hands touching your ankles, keeping your legs straight, then lay back down.
