Good to see homebrewing get a write up where it is seen as a skilled craft, rather than some dowdy dickheads trying to brew the cheapest rocket fuel they can.

I'm a fan of wines as much as beer, but beers are just as complex and varied as wines, no question.

I actually know Ben, he is a sharp guy who knows his stuff and as you say Warra this write-up does wonders for our "image" as brewers!

One of the first articles i have read in the paper that actually describes the REAL process for making beer.

Very impressed.

Hopefully Kooinda beers make their way over the border soon, always love trying new aussie micro beers. Heard so many good things about them.

Agree entirely Warra, i am a big wine drinker (just came back from a week in the Coonawarra - palate frazzled, credit card in intensive care, liver on strike) and find it hard to understand how wine snobs can wax lyrical about the various flavours/aromas of wine, front, middle and back palate and then pour a VB down their throats. I have mates who refuse to drink my beer as they are TEDs drinkers but will be extremely picky about their wine.

I like to think of myself as both a wine AND a beer snob 8)

To be honest, wine making is a much finer art. It is easier to make wine no doubt. But to make a good wine, you must put in a lot of effort.

Of course, the idea of cellaring a VB for 20 years is unthinkable!

A VB might be damn hard to make (and as much as people complain, making a beer that consistant is a DAMN hard thing to do!) but nearly impossible to make it last.
