Sorry Kev....
I went on a beer fueled spending spree a little before oktoberfest this year and somehow now have 5 Weihenstephaner ceramic steins; 2 x 0.5L without lids, 2 x with, 1L and a 1L glass stein... seems pretty stupid when i only have one mouth. plus they all arrived after oktober(fest). ohh well least i'm right for next year.
But i agree, they would make a great gift as there is nothing better than drinking a nice cold (german) beer out of a stein, and besides, the g/f cant see how quickly you're drinking your beer, or whether you've filled it up again.... HA...

The lid seems to keep it cold longer and locks in a bit of aroma so you get a nice nose full of hops with each drink! I also have a 1L lidded ceramic HB German stein for those more thirsty nights

I do have just the one left. If you are not in a hurry it will be listed in the new year. If you need it by Christmas send me an e-mail and I will see what I can do.

Steins are all gone now guys. Thanks for the interest everyone. I am working on getting some brand new Spaten 2L boots (not collectable antiques like the steins but still very cool!) in the next couple months hopefully
If anyone definately wants one let me know in advance so that we can save on post! They will probably be in the range of $100 including postage to your door.

Like a true Queenslander, I will reply and tell you "there is always an excuse for a beer!"
