BYO 150 clone brews

Postby Chris » Tuesday Aug 19, 2008 10:12 am

Anyone have, or know where to find a list of the recipies in this book?

Also, does anyone have and/or recommend this book?

The recipies that I am looking for in particular are:

Tiger lager
Sinha (aka Lion) stout (or the lager- both are good)
Heineken (call it a summer weakness, but I still like the stuff- as long as it is the import version)
Pilsner Urquell
Budweiser Budvar
Chimay (any)
Belleview Kriek

Pilsner Urquell
Budweiser Budvar

100% weyerman pils, saaz for flavour and aroma (and something german for bittering).

Wyeast 2000 for budvar
Wyeast 2001 for urquell.

Triple decoction...

I tasted the one i have lagering away right now (Budvar) and its pretty bloody close. Smells sensational, very light in colour and still malty. Wouldnt know it was 40 IBU.

Heieneken would use hallertau or tettnang.
Bellevue Kriek - Kev made one of these.

Cant help you with the rest

Found a recipe for Tiger in a copy of Dave lines book "Brewing Beers like You Buy ". An old book but a goodie.
Would you believe that it has 10 Saccharin tablets in it ? Ive never heard of this before ?
This recipe is an AG recipe..it says to and them to the fermenter when pitching yeast ?
Maybe to bump up the OG higher ?..Dont know..someone might be able to explain ?
