(Original) Munkey,

I have turned them off.

I'm not a big fan of them, but if other people would like them, I can turn them on.

What do you all think?

(Avatars are the little pics that appear below the username on some forums.)

I'm not a huge fan of them. In a music-related forum I'm in, some avatars take up over half the page and can get pretty distracting - almost detracts from reading the message and half the time I end up just skipping over messages with large avatars.

Unless you can restrict the size to something very small (say 1 inch x 1 inch at most) then I would prefer to not have them. They will also take up more server space, and I remember Oliver you mentioned once that the server space for this forum was fairly limited.

I like them, but they have to have restrictions. Just one way of telling one individual from another at a quick glance.
