Melb: Cheap crown seal bottles
Melb: Cheap crown seal bottles
I have a large number of crown seal bottles availble for Melbourne homebrewers.
A family member has the task of cleaning out a store room. There are two pallets of impoted beer, well out of date. The beer might not poison you but I wouldn't drink it.
I'll swap either one bottle of your best homebrew or Coopers Stout for a couple of dozen bottles. BYO crates if possible as some of the boxes are damp.

The bottles I have are heavy brown glass, crown seal, 650ml longneck. They are marked as returnable for refill so should be durable.
They are still full, best before Oct 2000.
The beer tasted OK, not off or moldy. I'm not drinking it, but I doubt you'll die if you do.
I have access to *LOTS* if you are really keen.

I found that about 30 dozen will fit in a Liberty wagon but it handled like sh!t.

You're right - my sister in law spent some time in Mauritius last year and Phoenix is all they were drinking. At least I won't have to pour it down the drain now...wambesi wrote:Hey Velophile, did you google that brand?
Apparently a few people reckon its quite a nice drop....
Thanks again for the bottles.
Thanks again, steve.
How many do you need? I've still got a few dozen at home & should be able to get some more.stinger400 wrote:Hi,
Do you have any bottles still available?. Only problem is I dont have any home brew available as I'm looking for bottles for my first batch. I could always send one around when I make it (if your game).

I did search out the brewery online.wambesi wrote:Hey Velophile, did you google that brand?

It could be fine chilled, in hot weather etc. I drink enough without adding several dozen free beers into my diet.

Hi Velo,
I could use some of those bottles if you have any left. Six dozen would be grand but I'll take what I can get. I can give you a selection of home brew or some Coopers Stout if you prefer. The HB selection is a little young, being 3 week old LCPA, 2 week old Hightail Ale, and 1 day old Coopers Bitter
