slightly OT (well OK a lot OT) but where did you get the grolsch rubber seals from and are they the same as the originals?
Cheers

grolsch rubber seals
I got the seals from eBay recently. The seller was in the UK. Cost about $30AU for 100 including p&h. They're green so not like the originals. After you get them on they work great.
Re: grolsch rubber seals
Thanks for your help wildschwein - didn't think to look for them on ebay DUH...
I had bought some locally, (a little thicker than the originals and the other ebay colour) but they tend to crack / perish after several uses, whereas the originals seem to last a lot longer.

Having brewed kits and bits for years and approaching retirement, I have been meaning to move to AG for some time i.e I was gunna !
You'll be pleased to know I've finally got round tuit, and a name change would probably be in order !!

I've also bought them locally, from a couple of sources, and have found that they do crack after a few uses. The apple cider seems harder on seals than the beer. I think the grolsch originals may be silicone rather than rubber, at least on the new shape eg. taller bottles.gunna wrote:I had bought some locally, (a little thicker than the originals and the other ebay colour) but they tend to crack / perish after several uses, whereas the originals seem to last a lot longer.
Nothing interesting to see here, move along.
