Red Duck Queen Bee Honey Porter. I don't like honey in beer.

Meantime Coffee Porter from England, on the other hand, is an interesting and tasty beer. Think a shot of coffee over ice; an iced coffee without the milk.

And that, folks, is the six-pack tasted. More losers than winners, unfortunately.

Mashed @ 63 for 60mins

Cascade and Amarillo @ 10 mins to about 28 IBU's
No chill
Will ferment with US05 @ 16degC

Smells the business, should be a decent lawnmower at around 4.8%

Turned out light in body as expected, the hop combo suits my palate to a tee, dangerously quaffable. 8) There is potential in this one, though I might try 100% Pils next time to see the difference.

Ate some jelly I made from my most recent AIPA. Actually turned out better than the beer! Just need to work out what fruit it would work with and will impress the pants off of people whose pants I'd probably rather stayed on.

Had a couple of pots last night at Biero in Lt Lonsdale Street here in Melbourne. Standouts were the Mountain Goat Summer Ale and the 3 Ravens 55 Ale (an APA). The pumpkin beer was pretty interesting and tasty, too.

Just finished digging out 3 Robellini palms so what better way to finish off a job than a glass of my first AG beer. Kegged it before I started and just poured one to have before I jump in the pool.

It's a Pale Ale with Bravo & Cascade.... Lovin it! :D

Could easily get used to drinking AG beer..

Cheers, Mat.

Dug out the old corn, zuchinis, lettuce, and pak choy from the vege patch.
Dug in more compost in preparation for sowing more green beans, silverbeet, and broccoli.
Cleared up the weeds between the garden shed and the fence.
Repaired the whipper snipper.
Cleaned mrs warra's Getz inside and out to, eeerr aaahhm, what looks like showroom condition. Did my Subaru a couple of weeks ago.
Cleaned and polished the golf shoes in readiness for tomorrow's vet's battle.
Repaired the hose on the front side of the house.

I'm sort of whacked, worn out, buggered, reached the end of my tether, after working like a navvy so far today.

I reckon I've earned the Hefeweizen I've just downed. About to pull the next one from the freezer. Yummy.

Golf tomorrow, brew day Wednesday, golf Thursday, vege sowing Friday. There's the week done. This retirement caper is more work than a full time career.

I'm slowly sipping (glug glug glug) that 3rd installment of the drsmurto ttl clone. I did up all components for this one so could be clouding judgement.
Not complaining.
Very nice drop

Same here, on my second middie od a sensational TTL clone to Docs recipe, biab with poor cold break, 3 weeks primary, 2 days finings and chill, kegged.
Its 3 days old and its the smoothest home brew i've ever had / made.

Sensational, this could be a long night :)

Just finished a Williams Pale Ale. OK, but a bit light on everything for me.

Now onto a homebrewed English dark ale. It was only bottled last weekend but I thought I'd crack one and see what it was like. What it's like is very, very nice. Although it's still very green, which is to be expected. Already quite drinkable though.

Cheers,

Oliver

I had a Williams Pale Ale recently.

Quite a nice pale ale, but nothing outstanding about it. Clean and clear, with some hop character and bitterness, although it could do with more.
I thought the Crystal malt obviously used in the brew left it slightly cloying on the finish. Some more bitterness to cut through that would improve it.

As it stands, I quite enjoyed it, but one was enough.

Roggenbier - was a bit much fresh but the yeast has dropped out and it seems better balanced.

Followed by the victoria (homegrown) rye golden ale which is possibly one of the best beers i have brewed.
