Hope it was carbonated enough for you, Billy.

I let out quite a bit of the pressure before I posted it. Didn't want it exploding in the post.
The BeerSmith recipe print was also with the bottle.

Haven't had any of my batch as yet, I'm still maturing them. Reckon they'll be nice winter sippers. Not really a session beer at 8.5% ABV !

Yeh it sat on the shelf for at least a week Speedie
Probably should have given it two!
It was only just enough to notice.
Ivé seen clear beers, when poured bad get more haizey than that.

I don't think so,
So many bottles, loosing track of what's what :D :D :D
Any that wern't labeled have been when they turned up so I could keep track, the O'L masking tape & black texta make a great, easy to remove label!!
will have to get back to you on that!

Hi Mick,

Mine will be on the way shortly. Just deciding which of my two latest brews (English dark ale or a mongrel US/Australian pale ale) to send. Both are not even two weeks in the bottle.

I'll do a tasting in a fortnight and make the call.

And before you suggest I send one of each ... :-)

Did mine end up turning up, Mick?

Oh, I also released some pressure from mine before posting, like Warra, so hoping it's still carbonated nicely when you get to it.

Bum wrote:Urgh. Just poured about a stubby worth of my entry into a 1L jug and it is completely full of head. Never happened to me before and I'm really hoping it is just a bottle issue. Definitely fermented out prior to bottling. Head dies down reasonably quickly and the beer that there is in there does not appear heavily carbed so I'm disinclined to call it a gusher. Basically tastes and smells the same as it did earlier. Dunno what is going on at all.

When you do get around to it, Mick, pour over the sink just in case and lemme know if does happen and I'll send you something else by way of apology.
Opened two bottles tonight without incident but I am still spooked. If it seems excessively gassed when you open it just put it aside for a couple of beers first.
Finally worked up the courage to try this one Bum.
Didn't get any excessive gas but, without being rude, it tasted pretty ordinary!!

I still have bottles sitting there from a couple of you, I know Big Dave is one & I think Tourist might be another along with a third.

Cheers, Mick.

Nah, no hard feelings there at all - the few positive attributes that beer might have had would most certainly have faded long ago. Very sorry, Mick.

Any feedback on mine, Mick? In honesty, it's not the best stout that I've brewed but it was a touch experimental. Like Bum, happy if you call it ordinary - just been a while since a fellow brewer tasted one of my creations, is all.

Hoping that mine's still good, Mick. I was a little worried about potential oxidisation as it's the first time I've bottled from the keg without a CPBF (mine of which is now broken). Crossing my fingers that it's still okay, mate.

Both Tourist and I voiced pretty reasonable concerns as to the current states of our submissions, Speedie. Weizens are supposed to be consumed whilst young and I'm unsure that the dribble method would be a good way of bottling if planning to store for a while. Neither post really shows signs of lack of confidence.

Why don't you try to comprehend posts before responding to them? Y'know, just sayin'...
