Copped a mild concussion today. I'd love to have an excuse like I was saving a child from being run down by a truck, or even that I could say that alcohol was a factor. Alas, I haven't an excuse except for utter clumsiness.
At around 10 past 7 this morning I managed to slip on stairs that I was walking up to get to my office. Head collided with the wall, then, in my haste to regain balance, I managed to somehow launch myself backwards down the stairs.
CT scan came back thumbs up, but the x-ray shows I may have done some damage to my neck.
Spent the morning feeling like I was drunk, now all I want is to at least have a wee tipple but it's apparently advised to abstain.
Worked out washing 90 longnecks from scratch is a bloody huge pain.
Sad thing going to have to do it again in another 3 weeks.
Time to look into kegging i think or put less brews on.

I did the same thing about 12 years ago. Coffee, old socks, and nice polished timber stairs don't mix. I somehow managed to walk away only slightly bruised.
Still can't turn my head to the right (so I've been having to get driven to and from work,) but the concussion wore off quick enough so I can at least have a beer or two now.
...whilst I laugh about what an absolute pillock I am!
Is there an easier way to post pics here apart from photobucket? I've noticed lob and oliver are posting pics embedded in posts but I can't work it out?
Cheers
There's a photobucket app for iPhone and Android. Works really well.
If you use a computer to upload, a good way to transfer pics from a smartphone to the computer first is to use Nimbuzz (install it on both your PC and smartphone.)
Open the pic using a graphics program and re-sample to about 15% to 20% but - very important - maintain around 300dpi. This will reduce the file size but also ensure the pic is a good size for embedding. [Of course, it's easier just to use the smartphone ap. Note: the photobucket ap automatically reduces the pic size.)
Once uploaded to Photobucket just click on IMG and then paste directly anywhere on the page, like so
My work sponsors Kevin Sheedy, coach of the Giants, and we got a deal where we could get two tickets for the price of one for round one vs the Swans. D'y'suppose it might be a bit of a faux pas to turn up in my Swans shirt, scarf and cap?
