Keg advice please

Postby hardwoodjoint » Thursday Apr 18, 2013 3:50 pm

Hi all,
I'm thinking of buying a keg system (very tired of washing bottles)!

I've seen a couple of secondhand 2 keg systems on fleabay for about $250 plus delivery. Apparently these have been refurbished by the seller.
Has anyone had experience of these?
I'd be very grateful for constructive advice.
Cheers

Are you looking at a ready built kegerator, or are you keen to build one from scratch?

Hi Jeff,
At the moment I'm looking at just buying the basics, kegs, reg, tap etc. Later on I'll look at a secondhand 'fridge to put the kegs in.
The one I saw was a 'refurbished' setup, price is about $250 which isn't bad compared to some I've seen advertised.
Cheers

I'd do a bit of research if you can because I've replaced ok taps with great taps, then there are ok disconnects then really good ones.

Any system you buy will be better than bottling but if you can get the best you can afford you may save money on replacing (just ok) gear.
