We have a couch in our lounge room. It lives there with a couple of Turks (we refuse to call them Ottomans)

We called them poofs....I don't think that's allowed anymore.

Yeah, I don't think saying "we keep our poof in the lounge room" is politically correct anymore.

Our poofs have a lift off lid. I used to keep my slippers in the one in the lounge room but my wife says I'm not allowed to put the right slipper into the poof when I get tired of smacking it around.

I wish st john would give me the test at the start of the day. Eight hrs to do the test in five mins and get them all right seems a bit much.
Good job though

I have bought myself a second cube so that I can do a double brew day and no-chill both, then transfer them to the fermenter, aerate and pitch when I like.

I just went to Dan Murphys and walked out with a bottle of wine and no beer. There is a first time for everything!

Were hell a place, it could just have frozen over.

Picked up 2 x 1L cans of DAB at Dan's last week that each came with a 1L stein. Reckon I'm going to grab 2 more tonight on my way home from work.

Tomorrow I have to build an old fashion clothes line, extend the chook run, brew a double batch of beer, smoke some chicken and pork for tea, and whatever else the boss wants along the way. I really should go to bed soon instead of watching cricket and typing bullshit on forums.

I won my AFL fantasy footy comp today, hail to the champ!

It's a 10 team comp made up of many of my life long buddies, so it's not like I just beat a bunch of randoms. And this was after finishing last in 2012, so doubly sweet!

I just cleaned a couple of fermenters with oxyper and hot water. Both had been cleaned with water and a cloth after being used last.

Tonight, the water was clear going in. Coming out and after a bit of a light rub with the same cloth as previously this is how the water looked:

The camera never lies. That is the colour the liquid was when I tipped it out.

And to think I was just going to brew in those fermenters tomorrow and only cleaned them again because it's a quiet Friday night. I feel sick ...
