New Coopers bottles

Postby Oliver » Wednesday Jan 29, 2014 6:14 pm

Anyone else noticed the new Coopers bottles. I had one for the first time last night and was a bit thrown by the same-same-but-differentness of the bottle. It's a little taller and skinnier than the old one.

Here's old v new (and no comments about why I have Mild Ale in the house, please):

I may be well behind the times and the new ones may have just made it to Victoria, but I don't think I came across any in SA when I was there at Christmas.

Still 375, or have they snuck the volume down?

I should have mentioned ... They are still 375ml, so it seems that the guys at Coopers understand the backlash there'd be if they'd gone to 330ml, 345ml or 355ml.

I just had a couple of sparklings, looks like I got the old bottles.

I just hope they don't mess with the 750ml bottles, I'd hate to have to adjust my capper for another size.

I don't like em. My change something just for the sake of it?
I mean they have already got a pretty distinctive style.

Nothing wrong with Coopers Mild Ale Oliver, my FILs go to beer and IMO a more interesting beer than the pale.

Before you went and made an issue of it I would have assumed you were driving. Now all bets are off... :D

And getting back on topic (the bottles), yeah glad they're still 375ml. Doesn't look like they've changed the long necks, at least not yet.

Have they brought them into line with the pilsner 62 style bottle? That is thinner taller and has a sexy hip, If you know what I mean.
