how can i fill a standard pub keg with my homebrew? do i need to have a c02 supply or add dextrose? at the moment my idea is to get my 60 or so longnecks and siphonn them into the sanitized keg. where should i go from there?
thanks in advance

a few points:
- have you got the right connectors to get beer out of keg?
- Are you able to open keg to clean it? Breweries have special racks to clean their kegs hich is why most homebrewers use the Soda kegs with bale type lids.
- You can prime with dext but will still need CO2 to dispense the brew.
- but mainly why would you put brew in bottles then syphon into keg? Surely it's much easier to go from fermenter straight to keg!

Just a few thoughts
Some people say I have a drinking Problem....
I drink, I get drunk, I fall over....
What's the problem?

i would go straight from fermenter into keg,but its that my fermenter holds 23L, and my keg will hold 50L at max capacity, so i cant see how i can reconcile that when i can only make 20 L a time, and each wort takes 10 days or so (in winter).

I think i should be able to clean it but im not sure how i should can dispense it as I dont have any connectors or a proper tap..

Has anyone else used a keg to prime their beer? should i buy a smaller keg with a removable lid and gravity dispenser?

cheers

If I was you I'd go for the Soda style keg (19L) and get the right connectors etc for it, much easier to clean and use in general.

Around father's day most HBS have specials on keg kits, give them a look!
Will set you back about $400 for kegs, connectors, regulators, tap etc!
