Boony

Post by Gav »

I heard Steve Waugh on the radio recently confirming that D. Boon drank 53 cans from Melbourne to London on an Ashes tour. This effort broke the record of R. Marsh (which was, I think, 50 cans). Apparently other members of the touring squad also kept up with Boony for most of the journey.

Many people I know find these feats unbelievable and, I must say, they are well beyond my reach. Has anybody witnessed a like event or is the ability to drink inhuman amounts of beer confined to current members of the Australian XI?

Gav,

I doubt if anyone in today's squad could even hope to match Boony. Or Marshy for that matter.

I also recall, Gav, that Boony and Marshy were both gibbering messes when they alighted the plane.

What about VB's latest ad - get a minature talking Boony with your carton of VB. A shame one needs to have the carton of VB beforehand.

I thought that Boony had to be wheelchaired off the plane. He couldn't stand, let alone walk.

I was hoping this promotion worked with longneck VB's as well, that would almost make it worth buying VB. Had a quick look yesterday, no cide.
