The fermenter has been open for a year, so whatever fell in was able to do what it wanted to do.

Waste of time.
Undrinkable, possibly poisonous. Without fermtenables, it's just a yeast/fungus/bug lab.
Salut!

He wanted to make a lambic which is a beer that is inocculated with wild yeast. Right now he has gone a bit to far. Bet he gets the scoots from that, and by the way, do you just throw out the Carboy or do you try and clean it?

You know, my nose was a bit out of joint when I was told you could make a bad beer earlier. I am sorry, I was thinking "within reason" and today I have seen two instances where people have gone to far.

I agree with Dogger. That idiot just went to far!Thats no a lambic beer he is making its just a smelly rotten bottle of filth. The reason the brew masters can do it is that the rooms where the vats are kept are carefully maintained to keep one speical type of yeast dominant so thats what goes into the vat.Not whatever the cat drags in.
