The one I am using at the moment is called 'Brewshield' and says it contains Hydrogen Peroxide (3%) and Silver Ions. It is required to be diluted 15ml to 1L. Somtimes this sits around awhile (in its spray bottle) waiting for the next sanitation experience. Do the evil microbes of tap water eventually overcome the brave peroxides and valiant ions?. I ask this because the solution already has water but it is distilled.
The stuff I use now, is Iodophor, and only needs 1ml per litre, so it's going to last pretty well. It is very dark brown, and when diluted is a light brown.

After it has completed it's amount of sanitising, the fluid changes to clear, so I know when to renew the solution. It's also non-rinse (but I do get rid of the left-overs as much as possible).

Once you do, you will never go back to bottles again. I know I wont.
There is no such thing as bad beer. There is only good beer and better beer.

Problem is I am probably only in Australia until the end of the year after which I plan to work OS for a few years... So everything I buy now will only be temporary...

Your quick JaCk I'll give you that!!

IMO
I leave bottles that I have sanitised for the next brew if I don't use them.
They are dry and covered in gladwrap.
No problems so far....
Cheers

Gladwrap is a great idea, I think I'll be using it now.

For the record the technique was:
*Hot water rinse
*Bleach 10mins
*Hot water rinse
*Placed a (unsealed, sanitised) crown on each bottle
*bottled the next day

No bombs as yet

I have been sanitising my bottles as I pick them up using "Napisan" in quite high concentration, then bottle brush, rinse several times - drain in the sun then recap when dry - using bilo crown seals ($1.52/100) then put them in my industrial racking 8) then I rinse before use - so far no funky flavours.
I think so long as everything is put away dry & in a dry area unaffected by damp/ mould or insects it should be fine.

Napisan is the the best for a long soak - I have some really manky pixaxe longnecks - it is really cutting through age old grime & it removes every paper based label in one piece - and usually the adhesive (95% of the time) as well.

Damn - I just spent a good hour or so washing and bottle-brushing my empties with brewers detergent, rinsing, then washing in no-rinse sanitiser. They're drying now. I wish I had've read this thread before I wasted all the time with the detergent and brush...
