Hey
I am the manager of a Club Bar recently there has been much debate over whether we should or should not be dispensing coke and other post mix products in our pint and other glasses. I have worked in hospitality for ten years and have worked in venues that do and dont serve postmix this way.... I have come here to see whether any one can show me some evidence! or provide me with a detailed explanation either way....
Im sick of listening to the "experts" on the other side of the bar!!!!!
No Post Mix in Beer Glasses.....
There's no reason not to dispense post mix into a beer glass.
As long as it isn't some kind of post mix detergent, milk or oil, you are fine.
In fact a beer glass used for milk, will come back to "life" if you drink a couple of cokes out of it.

KP, I also have some hospitality experience and can agree with you about punters who know everything. Tell them you have named all the glasses and only serve coke or post mix in glasses whose name begins with A-L. In my experience a quick going over on the sink brush in some not too soapy water, a quick drain and the into the glass washer seemed to work fine. There used to be a rinse aid called lisserglass don't know if it's still available but it worked a treat for beer glasses. If this doesn't clean off the residue of post mix then why would clean off the residue of beer? Don't let the bastards get you down, remember punters are there to be enjoyed.
'cause I love that dirty water!

I just read that out to my girlfriend. She is always drinking milk out of my pint glasses.
Another point to mention is its better to hand wash than to use a dishwasher. I find the dishwashing detergent kills the head on my beers. Makes you think your beer is flat.
