Good liquor store in Perth?

Good liquor store in Perth?

Post by ex0ja »

My local chain liquor stores such as Liquor Land seem to be lacking in variety. I'd really like to try a Coopers Best Extra Stout, but havn't seen it anywhere.

Can anyone recommend a place where I can buy these premium beers, even just somewhere that sells the stout.

A place with cheap prices would be alright too

Thanks.

Went and had a look yesterday, they had a great variety in there; all sorts or crazy beers available. Thanks.

Spearwood Tavern bottlo is alright. Just don't go into the public bar, it looks like the bar scene from Star Wars. Last time I went in there I ended up boxing with some local bogan

(And I was sober too  )

I take it they look like some of those aliens too? My old man always tells me Koondoola Tav is the roughest place in Perth, can't walk in there without getting into a fight. I'm scared just to drive through Koondoola, then again I'm scared to drive South of the river, down there they're all backward

OI!!! I'm from south of the river mate!!! :P

Yeah that's exactly what I meant about the Star Wars bar scene.....the place is full of weird looking characters.

As for being rough, well I've been in a lot worse let me tell ya. The Rocklea Tavern in Brisbane springs to mind.

Also after living in Liverpool, England for many, many years I can tell you that us Aussies have NOTHING on the Brits for dodgy pubs. Examples - "The Windmill" in Kirkby, Liverpool or any pub in Glasgow, Scotland

I've seen a few too many shootings, stabbings & glassings in my time over there............... us Aussies are pussies compared to that lot. Makes me laugh at the bikers in Australia, they wouldn't last an hour in the UK.

Bucks Off

Post by Joel »

I agree Lebowski, the Bucks Off in Innaloo has got to be the best choice for variety! I live down south now (originaly from north of the river), and Bucks Off was always the best place to go to pick up something a bit 'different'.

There's a bottleshop in Alfred Cove, on Canning Highway near the corner of North Lake Road (next to the servo). It has an excellent range of beer and I'd be surprised if it didn't have Coopers Best Extra Stout.

Cheers,

Yeah, grab...

Went in there on a recent excursion to the bigsmoke and ended up with a Belgian tripel and a six pack of Feral. Even my wife bought beer!

I had a look at this place tonight, I was overwhelmed by the variety! Most the beers are labeled in German or some other language so that makes it a bit hard to make a choice. I recommend anyone from Perth go check it out.

Whistling jack I like your sig...i lived in Cologne, Germany for a while and that seems to sum up the German attitude to "Bier".

Just do a little research on German beer types. Then remember the German names for it and you should be fine.

So, what exactly does "Man kannte froh sein, wenn die Luft so rein ware wie das Bier" mean?

It means "One(You) would be happy, if the air (around us) was as pure as beer (is)." Of course beer in this instance is taken to mean actual beer not vb
