Cleaning glass tank

Post by goq11k_76 »

hi,

years ago I bought a large glass tank from a brew shop for fermenting

about 25 lt i think

for about 2 years it has been not used and dirty inside around the brew line at the top,

I have tried a few ways of cleaning and it doesnt seem to get it off

cant get my hand in, and bottle brush just dont cut it

any chemicals I could use at home?
any companies that will clean for me?

really want to use it again then rack into my new plastic tub

any advice will be appreciated
Brendan

Try soaking it in Napisan for a few days.

I was given a spray bottle of Brewcraft Brewclean, and although i was a little scheptical at first i can tell you it actually works, i have never had anything that this baby wouldnt remove just simply spray on and leave for a few minutes then rinse and hey presto, just like new, it cleans all sorts of stains including carbon etc

A 500 ml bottle is about $8 and you can dilute it at about 4 or 5:1
