Honey in beer?
Dogger,
You're probably right re "Pure" Honey, but it worries me when supermarket honey is still runny in the middle of winter. Much of our supermarket honey is labelled as an Oz plus imported blend without saying where the imported bit comes from - hence my reticence to use it when I can go to a local beekeeper.
Re do you boil the honey? - I just add to the wort prior to topping with water and have had no problems.

I like to boil it as it does a couple of things
1. I can get rid of the albumin
2. It gives me a sense of security that I have killed any nasty bacteria that might be around.
That doesn't mean to say that you can't just dump it in, I have no proof to argue for or against.
