What to brew?

Post by NTRabbit »

I have a brand new 2 keg system that I'm in the assembly stage of, and can't decide which brew to make and keg up. I want it all to be ready for my Australia Day & TripleJ Hottest 100 party, so only 17 days left.

Please help me choose 2 from the 4 kits I've got sitting and waiting, or suggest another that I could put together fairly cheaply - this keg system really took a bite out of my finances.

Thanks.

It's Pilsener weather!

Sweet, I wish I had a keg system. I'm so sick of bottling but I just know if I get a keg I'll turn into a full blown alco.

Agree, Pilsner. I am thinking the keg is the place to be for the session quaffers, bottles for the specialty and high gravity keepers.

Cheers,

I am in the quaffers category in the main but I fear I would go up a notch in my quaffing habits. :o

Maybe I'll give it a go when I see a cheap fridge. Everyone wants $200 for their 15 yo Kelvinator in my Trading Post!

I voted Porter as a counter for the Pils in keg 1 :D

Sorry, my bad, didn't realise we had to pick two.

Yep, Porter in keg 2. Get a nice balance of a light and dark to choose from.

Cheers,

Don't mean to look like i'm going with the crowd but it'd have to be the pilsner and the Porter. Also to the TripleJ Hottest 100 party idea keep that up! awesome stuff

It might have to be the fruit pale ale, I've had my lager brewing fridge on all night and its only at 19.2*C. The ambient here is just too high for lager brewing. I could start it tomorrow when its cooler, but I'll only have 3 or 4 days of sub-30 temperatures before it spikes again. Decisions, decisions.

The fruit beer.

Strawberry.

PS Pilsener in No 1
