Beer tastes funny
Only make kit beers. Done so since 1988 and have got the steps down pat. BUT, every once in a while I get a brew that tastes "off". I don't know what iodine tastes like, but I describe my beer as "iodiny". Has happened too many times over a number of years to be a one off problem. Therefore every once in a while I'm doing something wrong. Time does not improve the issue. Only solution is chuck out. I'm sure someone else has had this problem and it has been answered many times before, but I can't find the answer in the Forums. Can someone tell me what the problem is ?
I've only been brewing for 8 months and have never come across your problem, so i'm not much good to you. If you post your question in the 'making beer' section of the forum you might get a few responses.
Cheers

"Doc, what can I do about these terrible hangovers?"
'You can stop drinking beer'
"No, seriously Doc, what can I do?"

Beer tastes funny
Last time used a Wander Munich lager, but from memory have had same results from a home brand version and a Coopers of some sort. Generally pretty merticulous about cleaning equipment using that sodium meth .. stuff. If not rinsed out of fermenter, anyone reckon this affect the beer.
