would the keg get old after a while and go flat or put a bad taste in the beer or anything>?>
omg Homebrew on tap 24/7 ice cold.... in his own house its a mans dream.

All Grain - Still learning with Every Batch.
When i was helping my bro-in-law set up his bar we were told if you buy beer in kegs it'll only last a fortnight but with homebrew it'll last a few months from memory (don't quote me though)
My advice if you don't get the reply you need from here, contact your local BS!
They will be able to guide you.

Kegged beer that isn't infected will last as long, if not longer than bottled beer. I'm drinking an Irish dry stout that I kegged last July and it tastes great. And if you build a single tap system under the bench, I doubt that the beer will age that much anyway!
When you talk about a keg fridge, do you mean a cornelius (19L) keg system or a larger sankey styled keg (50L)??
Cheers,
TL
