Post by Bill100727 »

How do I insert an image, from say, My Pictures..?
Cheers,
Bill.
I am 80 years young coming up July, I make a top pork pie, something Aussie hasn't quite discovered yet, now is there anything that goes better with a schooner..!..? and a gerkin of course.
Cheers,
Bill.

You have to host the pic elsewhere (like picasa or photobucket etc.), then you do this:

[img]http://image_url[/img]

And the image will appear in that spot.

I don't use this procedure myself, as I have my own server, but I think it should go something like this:

1. Go to photo bucket, join up, and upload your photo.
2. Look at your photo on photobucket. Right click on it and do properties, then find the "Location" or "Address" field, select it, and hit Ctrl-C to copy it. As an example, I'm going to use the header image from this forum. Its address is: http://www.homebrewandbeer.com/forum/te ... s/logo.gif
3. Come back to this site and embed your image in your post. You do this by putting a Image tag. In my example, I do this by putting in this little snippet of code:

The result of which is:

If you get stuck, just post further questions here and I'll see if I can answer them for you.

Thanks for the info' my friend, you have brains you have never used, you know that..! I went around the world for sixpence, like I normally do, but it looks like I got there. PhotoBucket, like anything else I suppose, using for the first time, you don't know where you are, anyway thanks and cheers, I'll have one for you.
