Like my recent Bock - this is a slow puppy.
However after the response from the Bock I'm looking for ideas.
The recipe is at the top of the thread.
Currently on 1070 - doesn't look like it's progressing.
Any suggestion???? Don't want any more bombs.
Mega Stout
I can suggest you plan the next brew and get everything ready to pitch over the dregs when you bottle this mega stout. Hate to see you waste all that great yeast!erik wrote:Like my recent Bock - this is a slow puppy.

20 C is a great temp it will just take a bit longer, my last boch took nearly 3 weeks at about the same temp and that wasn't nearly as hearty as your monster (though it was all malt and no dex) I wouldn't worry too much mate, as long as it is progressing you will be cool.
Like TL said, relax, the dex was taken by storm and now the yeast is gonna sit back and have a nice relaxing chew of all those great malts

Why dont you open one tonight and see what the carbonation is like? that might be an indicatior of what the rest will be like...
Did you have a taste of it when you bottled? If it was rather sweet, i would expect there to be alot of carbonation, but if it was ok, then maybe its just a thick beer you need to chew to get down...
I'm planning on doing the taste test tonight with my stout... Yummo...
