Should work fine. You just have to be a bit careful about it, make sure you get the cleaner everywhere to soak any solids off the walls, especially at the top.

Oh, and that vinegar and bleach recipe is a good one. 1 part vinegar to 1 part 5% available chlorine bleach is the recipe. You want the pH to be 4 for optimal killing power. Be careful with home-brand bleach, it's only 1.5% available chlorine.

I use the Aldi brand, it is 4% and half the price

I cannot even get inside it with a bottle brush.

The top uncrews but there is a part inside which is stopping it coming out completely. I have tried removing with the tap on top too but to no avail.

If you have a look back on page 1, that is the keg I'm talking about.
The top bit I have managed to unscrew but all you can see is thread as it will not go past that as it feels like there is another rod below the thread connected to another piece of metal.

I will try and take a photo tonight and upload.
