Made this a few weeks ago and blow me down, it is almost exactly like the JS Porter.

Bought a case to give some to my mate, and compare, whilst working on a Privacy screen and man it is very very close to JSP. Highly recommend.

Was not too fond of the Amber Ale from ND it's OK 5.5/10, but the local HBS guy has convinced me to give it another go with a liquid yeast.
One of his customers found it too Amarilloey, not a word, but how he described it.......Sounds just how I would like mine.....and Doc of course .

This will be one of the first in my new kegs, and the LCPA recipe too ...will be intersting to taste the difference between bottled and kegged.

Northern Districts Brewing, fresh wort kits.

Comes in a 15 litre square tub. Pour it in, fill to 20 litres, add yeast.....too easy. Purchased at my local HBS.

Bonus .....The tubs I re-use when I drill out the hole at bottom and add tap, great for CC/Lagering. Too bad it is only 15 Litres.

It's a very nice Porter, KEG..ask at your local about it. The guy at the HBS has managed to score some more and has put aside for me. Apparently demand is starting to exceed supply, the Amarillo ale was hard to get they tell me...........he just emailed me.

Dunno if it would be cost worthy for southern HB shops to supply, but the local HBS drove to Sydney himself to get them....they obviously sell pretty well.

edit....looking at the website, it states chocolate porter....

Hi - the website says Gerard (the Brewer) works for Malt Shovel - who make James Squire for those that don't know.
Coincidence that the ND Porter tastes a bit like JS Porter?
Awesome anyway - I'm gonna have to hunt a bre kit out as I have some JSP in my fridge and the stock is running low.
