The list of Coopers yeast is a great help- anyone know whats in Morgans kits.

Not sure, but I have found it takes a bit longer to get going. Also usually makes a better finished product.

The yeast that comes with blue moutain lager seems to be a true lager yeast as I brewed it at approx 12-15 degrees with no probs and it produced pretty good results.
Never tasted FREE beer I couldn't learn to like!

the golden saaz pilsener that i bought contained an ale yeast...

The last Iron Bark Ale I did had a lager yeast in it :?

it's strange about the saaz pilsner as the one's I have done (at least 3 or 4 to date) had the lager yeast?
Never tasted FREE beer I couldn't learn to like!

i thought it was strange too, but it was written on the packet.... i bought a fermentis S-23 yeast just incase...

The golden saaz that I picked up the other day was an ale yeast too - I wasn't sure of the quality so I bin'd it and used the brewcellar Euro lager yeast.

don't bin it, add it to the boil. yeast nutrient :P
