new use for old

Post by Old Gil »

I have an old fermenter that just doesn't cut it anymore and thought I'd post my idea for it.

If anyone keeps the vegetable scraps from the kitchen just chuck it in the old fermenter (using air lock and all) and when the good liquid from the scraps get to the bottom after a few weeks of collecting it's a brilliant nutrient for the plants, especially vegetable gardens, they'll lap that shit up. It's the best IMOP

Keep the airlock in just to keep the bugs out, it probably doesn't make a difference but i do just for peace of mind

Cheer and Beers :)

to keep the bugs out? lol, you want them in there to biodegrade this.. just like a compost bin hehe.

perhaps if you put a mesh false bottom on it, you could every now and then pour a litre or two of water over, and collect from the bottom for your plants.

The 't' and the 'e' were nothing to do with me.

Hey, that rhymes.
