Is this a belgian of some sort? Why start with a German base and then add all this weird stuff?

I would have used the choclate malt rather than the caramalt. Skipped the dex, corn syrup, roasted barley and brown sugar and probably just used a kilo of LDME instead.

Why two packs of safale yeast?
Prost and happy brewing!

Fair enough. I am sure it will be a very nice brew. The brown sugar addition may be a touch over the top, but otherwise those ingredients should work well together!

I'm surprised you state the OG of this lot is only be 1.059, and I thought it should have been higher.
However, it should finish with a relatively high FG of around 1.015 to 1.020, I think.
Should have plenty of flavour. Like Kev said, it seems to be a cross between a German and Belgian.
Anyway, good luck with it.

It does look a touch bizarre. Hope it works for you. Let us know how it turns out.

I too thought it would be a big beer, then read the sg line :?

Probably would not have added the brown sugar and dex and just gone 2 kg's of malt, BUT, I like that you like to give it a go shimmy, you may stumble onto a good beer.

Cheers
