Hi Earle,
I really liked this, if anything i found it rather subtle. Smokey? I will have to grab another now as I didn't really pick that up

Yes, I really liked it too but opinion seems very divided about the smokiness. I found it very subtle in the first bottle I had, came through more as it warmed. I thought it was more pronounced in the second bottle I had. Nowhere near over the top though. Just put down a smoked porter with 2kg of smoked malt yesterday, hydro sample tasted good and had good smokey flavour, can't wait to taste the end product.

The last bottle of my No.52 Cooper's Ginger Beer, bottled on bottled 23.1.05
And it's
finally tasting all right, I must say. The artificial sweetner taste has diminished and it's OK. Not great, but OK.

I had some 11 or 12 year old brigalow ginger beer a few years back. Crystal clear and tasted better than when it was fresh, not that that would be hard.

Doing the February fast, so no beer for a bit. Not struggling too hard yet, but today is just the 5th....

Longneck of Coopers pale ale. Seems better than out of a stubbie.

JS Amber Ale or whatever shit name they've given it now.
Not my favourite but work paid for it so it's definitely worth the money.

The same bo pilsner as Oliver recently commented on. Down to 2 bottles. Very happy with it, going down very easily watching the cricket. Malt forward, bitterness nicely in checked. Hop aroma has faded but there is still a background spiciness.

I believe that was the same Bo PIls I received in Christmas in July lotto. I'd be happy with it too. A very nice drop.

One of 12 bottles of a cider I "found" at the back of a cupboard today.
It was made in November 2011 with 12 litres of apple juice and 500g of blackberries, fermented with US-05.
FG was 1.001 and it's a bit dry for me, but quite nice. A good summer drink.

A challenger IPA. Trying to empty the keg. Not a smart thing to die with a 6% beer.

Gage road convict ale. Rich, hoppy not unlike Sierra Nevada Southern Hemisphere hop harvest ale. Before that endeavour growers ale, meh you can't write vintage on a bottle and jus expect it to be good. Can't his brewery make any good beer?

My latest light american amber ale. Citra and cascade late. 2.9%. Fermented with WY1187 (ringwood), mashed high (70C) so it finished at 1.012. Very tasty after a few hours picking hops and will allow me an early start tomorrow to pick the rest.
