If we were still going off the dates in the OP, it looks like Scoot49 has taken this draw, chaps. Just brewed up an AG GA yesterday (with some help from a brewing assistant that I met on this website, actually) so that will be in the bottle in around 2 weeks. Happy to send one of those or bottle up one of the ones I currently have on tap (experimental ESB with all American hops, an all-juice cider and a sweet ginger beer.)

Yep, not lucky this time either, seems Scoot49 is the winner. Just had a look at his profile, seems like he was around for a couple of weeks at the beginning of February. SCOOT49 ARE YOU OUT THERE??? I wonder if yelling will get his attention for him to claim his prizes? Ummmm?

I think last time it was all organised in a smaller time-frame so the thread was active right up to the draw, whereas this time it has sat dead for a few weeks so people have forgotten about it. I'd be keen for a Christmas-in-July lotto, though.

His Profile shows he has not logged in since Feb 12. That's over 8 weeks.

Not wanting to take it from him but...
Should we give him until the end of the week & call it a forfiet then go to the next Valid number? (Big Dave)
Acording to rule # 2 below, it shouldn't go to the next draw because we have other valid numbers.
earle wrote: Here are the ground rules: (thanks mostly to Jye of AHB)

1. Post in this thread to say you are in and add your name to the list.
2. The winner will be first valid number drawn out of the Tattslotto draw on Saturday the 9th April 2011 (draw 3101), if no winner the first drawn on Saturday the 16th April 2011 (draw 3103) will be the winner, and all non-winners have to send that person a bottle of their finest brew. Lotto results are available at http://www.tatts.com.au
3. Bottles can be what ever you feel comfortable mailing (PET, glass or stubbies) and should come to about 750ml. It is up to the winner to notify all non-winners by PM of address details.
4. Beers should be mailed as soon as possible. I realise with Christmas people will be away on leave etc, so no exact date is given as a deadline. The winner is at liberty to name and shame any welchers.
5. Please remember to attach a label so the winner can identify the beer and brewer.
5. You may enter more than once, but if you don't win you must send a bottle for each entry; each bottle must be a different beer.

.
Mick.

Maybe we should try PM'ing him so it notifies him by email?

I'm not quite sure what we should do this time but maybe we should add a rule for next time to cover this situation. In the interests of fairness I'm not sure we can call it a forfeit but I would much rather see a regular as the winner in future. Maybe 2 weeks to claim your prize in future (just to cover situations where people are away e.g holidays)

I think we may need some guidance from Oliver on this one

We need to give scoot some time I think before we go jumping to conclusions. Even tattslotto give you 12 months to claim your prize.
It won't hurt anyone to not post their entry for a while will it?
It needs to be 4 weeks at least IMHO.
Cheers

To be clear, I wasn't suggesting we rob Scoot of his win. My suggestion was more for future draws. Seems to be some agreeance on 4 weeks to claim your prize so perhaps we should add that as a rule in the next draw- something like if the winner doesn't claim their prize by the tatts draw four weeks after the initial one, the draw four weeks later is used to decide the next winner. How's that sound?

Got a bottle of Russian Imperial Stout for the winner. It's been ageing on american oak for the past 8-9 months. I've bottled 24 stubbies but haven't found motivation to bottle the rest (it's in a keg with an oak stave drowning in it).

I'll leave it up to the organiser to determine how long to wait but my thoughts are that this part of the rules wasn't spelled out clearly prior to the comp so for me, Scoot is the winner. In the future though i would like to see a 4 week (or less) window instigated to make sure these comps are cleaned up sw3iftly to allow us to move on to the next one!

I know we haven't yet got closure on this draw, but do we have enough interest for a July lotto?
