I have few stouts on the go at the moment, once these are kegged I want to do a few brews for summer drinking, can anyone suggest a decent Pilsner or wheat beer, I recently threw a Morgans Pilsner down the drain it tasted vaugley of mashed cardboard, to be fair to Morgans I probably stuffed it up by poor temp control and it was one of my first brews.

I've made a few weizens and have used some spec malt and extra hops but my next one will just be
Wheat kit (coopers or morgans)
1.5kg Liquid malt extract
WB06 yeast @ 18C (You could also use a suitable liquid yeast)

I use spec malts and hops etc in addition to kits and/or extract for most other beers but for a weizen it seems simplicity is the key. Most of the character comes from the yeast so you drink them fresh, as in ferment, carbonate, drink - wouldn't be making for summer just yet. Temp control is the key to getting the flavours you want out of these yeasts (As with most yeasts)

Edit: just remembered that I got 1kg of wheat malt grains so next wheaty will be a partial, but the above will still work fine.
