I have got that brochure. Coopers call it a
Light German Bock and they say,
The name for this recipe may be a little misleading as this beer is lighter in colour than the traditional German Bock but it is certainly not light in alcohol content (approx 7.2%).
Sounds fair to me!

Just a follow up on this thread.....
I cracked the first bottle last night and it was more than acceptable!!! The bitterness made it more stout-like and it lingered in your mouth long afterwards.
I expect this to mellow further with more bottle-time....straight out of the fermenter it was almost undrinkable!!
Anyway this is what i did -
2x Tins Coopers Dark Ale
Brew Enhancer 2
2x packs of Lager Yeast
Made up to 25 lt
OG 1070
FG 1019
AC - 7%
