try adhesive velco strips from Spotlight shops. one side on fridge the other on the lines. use it like cable ties as well wrapping multible line together with easy release.
Easy to apply and wrap around the lines - is plastic and therefore fairly mould free and if not its easy to clean...

Hmmm,

Can you tell me if the light is on when you close the door? Anything in the fridge you are trying to impress?

Tried again just now (about 29 hours after putting it in the fridge) and all I could seem to get was foam again :( Regulator is set to 100kpa with the gas connected, seems to be some bubbles in the beer line. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Worst thing is I'm wasting a lot of beer trying to get it working :/

leb,

try purging the keg of excess pressure by lifting pressure valve on lid. Gas will then flow again repressure.

also I find sometimes with tap on outside of fridge that if I pour of 1/4 glass then fill my pot its fine, you can get "warm" beer in end of line sometimes.

strange, that should release pressure in keg!

Not being rude but we are on about same valve aren't we!! Little ring pull type affair on keg lid!

NOt sure now what to suggest, maybe keg is over pressured! disconnect gas, bleed pressure, leave for hour and release again. Then hook up and try.

What I meant was it released the pressure but didnt change the foaming problem :P Seems even at really low kpa it still came out as foam, or at high kpa came out a lot faster as foam :P

The beer also tasted flat when the foam finaly turned into beer.. not sure if this is because its turning from foam into liquid and losing all the bubbles.. or just because it is not carbonated enough?

I'd say beer is over carbonated , going on what you've said.

unhook gas, purge keg, leave for an hour out of fridge and repeat, then put ion fridge connect gas and see how it pours

Pictures worth a thousand words,

is that not a stout tap I see? Regardless, you will have to turn it on full throttle not just a little and as it is a crank open the desire might be to open half way.

If it is a stout tap, you will really have to frop the pressure down, you are changing the direction of the brew 90 degrees, leading to turbulant flow at high pressures causing the carbonation to blow off leaving, yep, foam.

And sorry about my flippant comment, I only put kegs in mine and just assume everyone else does the same. I put my bottles in the milk fridge right beside the beer fridge

What sort of pressure should it be set to for a stout tap? When you turn the tap to the middle it is full open and if you turn it to either side its closed.

I am not sure, but It needs to be a lot lower than 30 deg pull tap I have and I drive mine around 10 psi. (Is that 70 kpa) may want to try delivering at 30, 40 kpa and be patient. There is another option but see if this works first. Then we will adjust your hose length so you deliver it to the tap at 40 kpa while having 100 kpa in the tank

Remember, full on, full off. To quote my teacher, "Do or don't do, there is no try"

doesn't look like atout tap top me Dogger, looks like the standard swing tap sold by most HBS around here. BUt either way yes full onm or full off, anything inbetween causes foam!

And Dogger, my glasses are in keg fridge, on top shelf, plenty of room so why waste it

Thats still a 90 deg turn. You will have to have some low pressure driving the brew to make it happen.

Grab, you using one of these with any success? I can't speak to them myself other than hearsay and some thought. I would hate to give it a bad rap for no reason other than a my weak line of thinking.

just a throught guys, with these beer taps if you turn them to slowly all you get it foamy beer if any beer at all. The action for use is just a quick flick of the wrist, maybe this is the prob, maybe its that simple :D :D

I've been opening and closing it quickly and even letting a litre or so run into a bucket and still foam (yesterday).

Today I have been letting air out of the keg every few hours so I can try and rule out over carbonation as a factor. Is there any easy way to tell how carbonated your beer is?

I've been looking around on google and some people say another cause may be something in the dip tube or the poppets on the keg (If I rule out over carbonation how likely is this?).

could be a factor, when keg is empty remove valves and make sure they are clean, also run a wire through dip tube to check that as well.
