Xmas Scores
A very old fridge connected to an adolheat thermostat. The capillary goes in through the hinge side of the door and sits on top of the fermenter. The fridge plugs into the thermostat I then set the temp. I set it for 10 deg for lagers and they sit at 12 deg while fermenting. I set it at 18 deg for ales and they sit at 20 deg. I have had a max/min thermometer in the fridge at the same time and the temp swing when set at 10 deg is max 11.8 deg, min 8.7 deg. I will take some pics and post them tomorrow for all to see.
after a few days around mid to high 30's on Perth I've joined the brew fridge brigade! Ice and wet towels just couldn't cut it yesterday when it hit 39C at my place.
Picked up a battered old fridge for $70 gave it a coat of paint to tidy it up, used blackboard paint on the door, now I can note the brew etc straight onto the door.
Also went to Dick Smith and got a dual zone thermometer, has a sensor for inside the fridge and one for ambient room temp so I will know what's going on in that regard. Check here for details http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.store ... View/Y5007
Picking up my temp control unit today and I'll be in business, will try to post picks when all is setup and working. First brew in will be a Coopers Cervaza.
