If you're ever down in Tasmania, try Moo Brew from a micro brewery at Moorilla winery.
I tried the pilsner, wheat beer and dark ale which was my favourite (don't mind darker beers - e.g. Newcastle Brown). I know there is another but I can't remember what it was.
Not cheap as I remember at $4.30 a pot or around $85 a carton, but probably worth it if you've got a bit of spare cash.

Geoff and I tried two or three of the Moo Brews in our latest round of tastings a few weeks back (to be posted soon).
They were absolutely fantastic. We were impressed.
Keep an eye out for the reviews.

Agreed. I've tried the wheat beer, and it was fan-bloody-tastic.

I've seem to have grown partial to the
Gage Roads brews. I've had all three, and even their mid-strength Pils has a 'full' flavour to it. Would love to find it on tap somewhere nearby, but this is Queensland.... Hope to tour and pub-crawl Western Australia someday.

Every so often, I rope one or two of my friends into cycling to the Mountain Goat Brewery. It's 10-12 minutes from my place and only a little longer to get home. Unfortunately, there is a big set of steps and a horrible hill if you take the Yarra Bike Track, so we've devised a route that takes us past my Favourite Local Megabrewery and through some side streets.
I like the specials that they put on occasionally and can only be had at the brewery.
Some of the very best commercial beer I've tasted comes from the engineers in Thornbury. But, as I prefer to spend my beer allowance on predominantly extremely local beer (and mead), I don't drink too much of it.

Blast from the past!
Wig and Pen- great beer, but many of the night staff are w@nkers.
Grumpys- as mentioned before, great pizza, beer and atmosphere!
