well yes - as you can see on the website the list of countries going is growing - i believe i have a sth american mob on board which just leaves africa and antartica to go - i don't like to beg but if anyone has any contact with drinkers in these venues it would be enormously appreciated if you could encourage them to get on board

of course drinkers everywhere who are yet to get involved would also be great - it is all for a good cause....well drinking anyway

Having read through these many postings , I am amazed to
see that the "LORD NELSON" in Sydney has not entered a team
as this must be at least one of the finest pubs in Australia, and
though I reside in W.A & have imbibed in all most all our seven states
the Lord Nelson has to be among the tops.
cheers dab.

dab123,

Been to the Lord Nelson and would have to agree. If only I lived in Sydney.

Pyssedas,

Is Newcastle, NSW on the list yet? Mentioned this International Pub Crawl to some of the mates the other day and they were interested so I will see what I can do.

Which pubs were you thinking Jay?

Preferably anywhere. I come from right in town while the mates come from Lambton and Wallsend. For density of pubs and therefore less actual crawling, town is usually a goer but I've had many an interesting pub crawl in Lambton (Marquis a Lorne - Bar121 - Northumberland - Lambton Park - General Roberts - Duke of Wellington) with the boys that end up in town anyway.

jay- newcastle is yet to get on the list - but would be a most welcome addition - let us know when you have chosen your venues - if you want to have more updates and things drop us a line at pyssedas@yahoo.com or check the webpage for details

further update

Post by Pyssedas Heavy Industrial »

For those who came in late - we are trying to organise drinkerson every continent on earth to have a beer on the 28th of May - further details are at the website:

http://www.geocities.com/pyssedas/crawl_2005 - please check it out

Ok friends - another update and we are about 6 weeks away from the crawl its not too late to get your city involved so please get in touch via the website or mail us at pyssedas@yahoo.com if you are interested. It would also be great if people could spread the word amongst their boozy mates - we want this to be as big as possible

We are now starting to put the artwork together and so really need to know the itinerary of the crawl in your city - it is cool if you are going to people's houses rather than pubs per se - just let us know

[Melbourne the heart of the Pyssedas village has been slack in this regard as well but we are looking at 12 pubs in South Melbourne]

or, as ever, we are happy to discuss it here

most exciting update ever

Post by Pyssedas Heavy Industrial »

4 Continents, 25 Cities, 47 Venues
1 Dream!

There is still time to join in but you need to be quick - check out the cities which are already on board at http://www.geocities.com/pyssedas/crawl_2005 and do it now dudes

If you have already told us that you want to be involved but haven't told us where you are drinking please do so asap at pyssedas@yahoo.com - lots of cities have told us they want to be involved but we don't know where they are drinking yet so we can't include them on the t-shirts properly - please let us know even if it is just your lounge room

Melbourne Australia is currently leading the way with something in the order of 16 venues in their crawl but this may have to be reduced

As ever please forward details of this to all your boozy mates in other parts of the world - the more far flung the better

Get involved - time is running out and there are t-shirts involved.

what appears to be part of the Melbourne itinerary has come into my possession...nudge nudge wink wink...check it out.

"1-Palmerston Hotel- cnr Kingsway & Palmerston Cres.
In the early 1860s Lord Palmerston amassed a fortune importing the famous “parmesan” cheese, which still bears his name, to Melbourne - this pub is a fitting tribute to a great man. Not to be confused with the Pink Palace, across Kingsway (which offers a "Saturday Special $49.00 nude hand relief", if you are running early).

2-Rising Sun Hotel- cnr. Eastern Rd & Palmerston Cres.
A taste of Deep South Melbourne in the famous House of the Rising Sun! The only things you will need are a suitcase and a trunk, apparently. Sin and misery on tap.

3-Cricket Club- cnr. Clarendon St. & Thompson St.
Memorabilia galore to admire here, where the Don used to come to get blotto and fight after every MCG Test Match. Important- actual crickets, grasshoppers, locusts etc NOT welcome in the front bar."

These monkeys may actually be onto something. Sign up now, you can go and see Revenge of The Sith the week after.

Egads - it does indeed appear that part of our hallowed [and hollow] document has fallen into your possession - and confirmation that we are starting at the palmerston in south melbourne

Sir [or madam], let me inform you that i am as i write, attempting to contact the good people at Price Waterhouse Coopers, whom i shall ask to conduct a forensic examination of our document sources to locate when and how this leak occured

indeed i shall ask them to lay aside their work on discovering the source of the victorian government budget leak to work on this more important project

consider carefully if you wish to distribute any more of this document

conspiracy theory mode clicks in to play:

Me thinks this is a ploy to generate more interest in the Great International Pub Crawl.

But then again I've been wrong in the past!
Some people say I have a drinking Problem....
I drink, I get drunk, I fall over....
What's the problem?

Pyssedas.
Will be there for the Melb crawl.
Haven't done the rounds in South Melb before. So very keen.

The Palmerston has the best Parma in Melbourne according to this website.
http://www.superparma.com/
So it might be an early lunch.

Most of the pubs have reviews on this site.
http://www.melbournepubs.com/search?l=e ... e_m=&fe_t=

Been told the WaterRat is closed. Only 15 pubs left hey ;-).

See all you guys there.

BK.

PS. Any other guys from this site coming on the Melb crawl?

Sorry,

I changed some of the pics around and took out the snow scene.

That must be the issue. Will try and sort it out later
