I reckon the worst part of the whole process is waiting for the yeast to show signs of action. I am never comfortable until I see yeast activity.beernut wrote:There is only 2 bad things about home brewing.
filling bottles & cleaning up on brew day.
Kegs fixed the 1st problem now all I need is a clean up slave.![]()

I'm going to be selling a Beer fridge complete with 2 taps, two way gas manifold all beer and gas line and disconnects, you will need the kegs and a regulator. The fridge is almost new (Hitachi) and cost well over $400 new, Will post pics later, but the system is great and in excellent nic.
I've up graded to a folded three tap built in font system.
If you are interest PM me.

There's nothing wrong with having nothing to say - unless you insist on saying it. (Anonymous)
If you lived in Melbourne, I'd be interested. I'm currently trolling eBay for a fridge to fit my new kegging system. It's an interesting phenomenon, but I reckon the standard bar fridge format is a couple of centimeters too short for a standard corny keg, and then the next step up from there is way too big; there's nothing in between (except maybe a $1095 kegerator from G&G
).
There are a lot of the Fisher and Paykel ones available with the little freezer that doesn't go all the way across the top like this one, and that'd fit a corny plus some other kind of keg, so that's a possible option for me (I have a 19L corny and a 12L SS).
But I find it interesting that you can get a fridge that's 88cm high, and then the next size up from that seems to be 150cm!

Give the lady a break! As I understand it, you've only done two AG brews. She's hardly had time to understand the requirement!!!lethaldog wrote:Nah she doesnt but maybe thats something ill suggest ( ill be telling her that you said it thoughbeernut wrote:Does she spread the spent grain evenly around the garden beds,Leigh.lethaldog wrote:![]()

My pilsner has been lagering for about 3 weeks and my lager for 1, i know thats not much but i just bought a keg setup and have been out to the g+g today getting the gas bottle ( ran into rwh there 2 but unfortunately didnt have alot of time to hang and chat) set the system up eg drilled through the fridge door and mounted tap and hooked up all the necessary lines..
Now all thats left to do is fill the kegs and gas up so the lagering session is over for those two as they are going in in about 5 mins

Hey lethal, nice to bump into you at G&G today, I'm super jealous of your aluminium CO2 bottle, I got my steel one a week ago and it weighs a bloody ton (for those who don't know, G&G have been having trouble getting a sufficient supply of their normal gas bottles, so air liquide have been giving them aluminium ones for the same price as steel, which is like $27 instead of $100).
Anyway, kinda strange to see a forum member in the flesh, but yeah.
