Well they have this kit which I think is the same as the other kit but with bench capper.... but worth quite a bit more.

madness-i got the coopers kit and have since made 4 really tasty beers, im a beginner,yes..but for a beginner, theres really no easier way to start this hobby than the coopers kit

i can relate to your anxiety- you dont want infection or wasted money- hey, one of my brews was fermented iin melbourne heat and it tastes so good i cant believe i made this s&^t!

id go coopers, maybe ill catch some flack on the forum,,, but to begin, you need to start somewhere, and for thhe last yyear i have been drinking CPA and CSA and they have done me alright, so mizewell go with the kit that the company produces, just my opinion anyway...

I agree, im not a beginner and i have four of them, they are great kits, they come with bottles and they do the exact same thing that any other kit does

The video is a fairly typical Australian interpretation of a 1930's Hollywood romantic drama. Although it was fairly well received on first release (allegedly it was this film which spawned the Palace film empire) and received uniformly high ratings from both David Stratton and Margaret Pomeranz, this film has failed to gain a strong following in its target audience - the home brew crowd.

Paul Mercurio has made a startling transformation from dancer through actor to home brewer, but the female lead - while positively delightful to look at and not negatively affected by the suggestion of a woman who homebrews - fails to convince us of her character.

Shot on video as a result of a low production budget, this movie is destined to remain completely unremarkable.

I give it two and a half VeeBees out of ten, although my wife thinks that is too harsh. I suspect she harbours something for Mr Mercurio.

Yes...the lead female is none too happy about Mercurio's offer of a 'taste of his wort'. She declines and makes both of them look stupid. Very funny stuff.

I've been to both my local K-mart and my not so local Big W... it seems that the brew god, whom I like to call Brewtor, does not wish for me to create beer yet and the coopers kits have been sold out EVERYWHERE (well those 2 places).

This happened at the first kmart I went to. Just go up to the desk and get them to do the ringing round for you.

To stay on topic, my vote goes 4 coopers kits.Worn out 2 - 4 still going.

Well guys and gals,

I've finally got myself a Coopers Homebrew kit and at the moment it's cooking away the Lager that came with the kit. Also put in some Brew Enhancer instead of the suger.

it'll be interesting to see how she turns out.

The Coopers kit is a good buy. You've done the right thing by brewing a basic kit first up, plenty of time to experiment down the track.

You've probably already read this, but i'll tell you again anyway. Time in the bottle heals all ills. Try and wait at least 3 weeks if you can before tasting, and put aside half a dozen bottles to taste after 3 or 4 months.

Yep, taste the beer every month from 1 - 6, and notice the changes in the beer...

Question god of thy brew, Is 26 degrees bad? For some reason, while not overly warm, the temp has been a steady 26 degrees.

Be good if it was a bit lower like 18-20 but it will be fine the way it is

Yeah, don't stress at 26. As lethal said, not ideal, but your brew will be fine.
