i think i know what you mean Trough Lolly, as it happened to me when i did my ipa extract. i didnt have enough water in the pot, and i could see there was no room to extract any more IBU's from the hops. i hope it comes out ok.

i will definatley boost up the boil size to as much as the pot can handle, for this porter, to maximize hop isomerization.

No probs, but as I mentioned before, you can either increase boil volume and/or hold back on some of the extract and add it late in the boil.
