Congrats Mick.
Like Bum mine will be untested, but for a hyro sample.
And unlike Bum, you don't get a choice, it will be a sort of Munich Dunkel.

Congratulations. :D

I'm not mailing glass. :P

The only one I have in a PET bottle is a Dunkelweizenbock, bottled a week ago.
Haven't tasted it, apart from the hydro sample. It's come in at 8.5% ABV, so it's a definite sipper.
Tasted very complex, but the alcohol showed in the sample. It's still very young, so hopefully it will all mellow and blend in time into a harmonious whole.

If that one doesn't interest you, I have a Belgian Strong Dark fermenting, and it will be about 8% ABV. It will be another couple of weeks before that's bottled, so it will be a bit of a wait. It's my first Belgian, so it's pot luck as to how it turns out.

Won't be brewing again for a little while, so those two are you choices.

Nice work Mick. Send me a PM with your address (assuming you get confirmation from Planner) and the rye golden ale with home-grown POR will wing its way to you. Have sampled 1/2 the keg just to make sure it's not poisonous and am 99% sure. I'll duck out now and test it again just to be sure

Congrats Mick, 42 did come out first.
I got a bit excited when 25 was on TV, but alas only good enough for 3rd place.
Not stressed if you do/don't provide a review on beers recieved, up to you.

Send a PM to all other entrants with your address, then sit back and wait for the postie. :)
Nothing interesting to see here, move along.

I don't mean to sound picky but could you guys label any young/green beers with a date bottled please?

With all the different styles being offered, This is a great way of trying styles that I would not otherwise have brewed myself.

Great idea this Lotto.

Bring on the next one (hopefully I can save some of my top shelf stuff till then :D :D )

Cheers, Mick.

Is there still time for me to put down a home brand two can?

I might actually get the beer off this week to you, crazy time of the year.

I'll bottle from the keg so I have 5 on offer I think... :D

I've got a fresh Centenial/Cascade APA with a good whack of hop flavour and aroma
A choc oatmeal stout
German lager-bland beer for the wifey
A lighter version of a doppelbock
a just tapped landlord-not bad at all but will be better in a few weeks
bottle conditioned belgian dubbel
bottle conditioned belgian trippel-nectar of the gods. :)~

I can do the usual longneck or two diff beers in stubbies. :D

Nice work Mick,

Must say I started getting a bit Big Kev when I saw the number 4 come up second.... Nearly pinched it....

Mine wil be a JSGA-type ale with a nod to the good Dr's all extract recipe. Will get it in the mail today or tomorrow, and be interested in any feedback you may have.

BIAB set up almost complete, so I may have something curious a bit later on if this caper takes off....

BD
Currently drinking: BIAB DrS GA, BIAB Californian lager, doppelbock of sorts
In the Pipeline: landlord?

Your beer is on the way, Mick. Looks pretty murky in the bottle at this stage so it will definitely need a bit of fridge time prior to drinking if you care at all about these things (this brew was a clearing agent-free batch to see how much (if at all) I care about it myself).

Just bottled your beer, the rye golden ale with home-grown POR. Bottled via the 'Dribble Method' so make sure when you pour it you do it from a height to get a nice creamy head (from the 22% rye).

No worries Bloke, have plenty of stock (one needs plenty of such) to let a good beer come to life!! :)

Thought you might have been in hiding or something, box has already been addressed and will be sent tomorrow after a final quality check tonight and decision on which bottle.

Dribble method - I bottled this beer from the tap. Slowed the flow right down to a dribble so as to not knock the CO2 out of solution as i poured it into the bottle. I do this if i want to take some beer to a party but don't want to take an entire keg. If bottling a 6-pack or more i resort to the CPBF as it's quicker.

My beer needs to be drunk fresh so i figure you can open the box, whack it in the fridge and drink it an hour later. No yeast sediment so doesn't need time to settle after its trip.

6C would be better, let it warm up as you drink it and the rye and vienna really comes through.

I personally would drink it straight out of the postpak
