Doesn't matter all that much. I use dextrose or sucrose because they're easy to measure accurately.

I bulk primed with 160g of dex for a 23L batch. Not overly fizzy. Its better served slightly warmer than 4degC tho, about 7-8 but thats just my bias when it comes to english beers...... :D

If you are gonna bulk prime, which I do, go with 7gm per litre of finished beer. If using LDME or DDME use 9 gm per Litre of finished beer. If using sucrose or dextrose and bottle priming use 1 teaspoon per bottle.

If bottle priming using malt use 1 and a quarter teaspoons.
