Point of clarification please:

Are you against "yous" as well as "use" for the second person plural [or whatever it is] I think yous is perfectly acceptable and should be encouraged

Well, yeah, but I was following on from here, where a grammar matter was raised. I was wanting to keep grammar nazi stuff on this thread, where it belongs, rather than clutter up a serious brewing thread.

Yes, I am also against "y'all". The 'all' is not necessary nor is the 's'. You You're Your You'll Ute etc. These are all real words, use them freely

Hmmm Kev I'm not sure that yous is actually a shorter way of doing things - if anything it is longer.

Shorter than saying 'you'... no. But it is shorter than properly addressing the group or person.
