When I get to the Home brew Shop in Ballarat

i can save you some petrol money.
place your order with Roger and Averil and get them to box it up and i'll get it to Horsham for $15, cans are ok but i can't guarantee the liquid malt in the "take away" containers. i have trouble getting them home to Clunes sometimes.
email me if you want details.
PS yes i work for a local Ballarat transport co. with a sister co. in Horsham

I'm really lucky, having a home brew store just around the corner. Brilliant. I never buy from the supermarket.

I'm only a basic kit brewer and my HB shops stocks lots of Brewcraft product, my favourite brews being:

Mexican Cerveza (with 1kg Gemdex Booster)
Dutch Lager (with Brewcraft #60 Lager Converter)
Munich Lager (with Brewcraft #60 Lager Converter)

In Summer, I mainly brew Lion Draught (with NZ Draught Converter Enhancer), or Belgian Ale (with Australian Bavarian Wheat 1kg) if I'm feeling frisky.

Just got one of these for $22 from my local.
He's dropped the price to try to get more people interested in them.

Expiry date 8/08

Coopers are the goods and are raved about over in blighty.

Grumpys is my local HBS and there own brand stuff is more expensive than others but i enjoy supporting them as their quality is top notch. Doesnt hurt to be poured a pint while they weigh out hops, crush grain etc!

Plus, being a microbrewery, they know their stuff when it comes to malts and recipe formulation. And they post orders too! Grumpys!

I made the summer wheat wetpack last year... delicious, will do another.
Also tasted the Wetpack bitter, which was awesome!

If you want something different, try ESB Smoked Belgian Ale.
I'm not a smoked foods fan, but this is pretty damn good. Like smoked cheese and ham thrown into a glass.

Friends either love it or hate it. One 10 month old bottle left to crack!

I might have to give that a whirl!

I made the ESB nut brown ale with some added choc grain and amarillo aroma, and its simply awesome. Mel's an expert to and a great yarn!

I am happy with the Morgans and Muntons kits, but don't use them much anymore. Until I can complete my AG set up, I now tend to use unmalted cans with specialty grains, and do all my own hopping. I am happy with the Morgans and Coopers unmalted extracts.

As for sausages, when I was still working in Sydney I used to buy them from the foodhall in David Jones in the city, particularly their London Porks. Beautiful snags the way they used to be and still should be. And they have the natural casings, not the condoms used by the chains.
