Well it sure ain't a LCPA clone.
It's a Country Brewed Bitter, and going down very nicely. Some 1469 yeast and euro to noble hops.
Very very nice indeed, hiccup.
Sleepin on couch tonite I reckon

Had a couple more Red Ducks last night.
K2 - a bright mid-strength ale, very little head, but with a beautiful, balanced, hoppy finish. I don't generally like mid-strength beers, but I regretted only having one in my mixed six.
Amber Ale - A similar ale, but darker and stronger. Lovely thing.
I have been ignoring the pommy-style ales for too long in favour of the citrusy Yanks!

Agreed, there is almost nuthin better than a good Dr S's JSGA clone.
Continuing the Red Duck theme.... Had a Pale Ale with fish and chips last night. Oooh, lovely. Clean and crisp.
And then finished off with a Harcourt cider, which went down much too easily. Apparently Simon from the Little Red Apple has teamed up with the guys from Henry of Harcourt and Brest, and they are knocking out ciders and perry's. Might have discovered these a bit late in the season.

For what it is worth, that is consistent with my extremely infrequent samples of said brew. IMO. YMMV. ETC.

Last of the Red Duck mixed six last night; the porter.
Lovely and roasty, a very nice and easy drinker. Like all the RD beers, it was a bit thin for head, but nothing wrong in the tasting department.

Down in Sydney for the weekend and currently trialing some beers at the redoak brewery bar in the city. Great selection. Going to be visiting other bars throughout the day.

Moved onto the bavarian beer cafe and got a bier flight which is 5x200ml tasters. Good beer, typical Belgium beers bit not as good service as the redoak bar. pilsner was ordinary. Hofbrau dunkel was interesting, dark caramel lager, definitely worth a try.

Currently at 4 pines brewery bar and drinking a bitter. Caramel tones to start and nice subtle bitterness to finish. I have tried the other beers, very nice but nothing from ordinary. They have a hefe and a stout, pale was out. I thought the kolsh at redoak was better than the 4 pines.

I just finished a Samuel Smith Organic Best Ale. Very pleasant English Ale, not the best beer I've ever had but certainly nowhere near the worst.
Last night I tasted the first of my DSGA. Magnificent! No wonder this is one of the most brewed beers on this forum.

Went to the pub on the foreshore at manly and ha a I.P.B
It was an Australian pale ale. quite nice session drink, not very heavy.
Currently at Murrays brewery pub down the road. Have a grand cru, Spartacus, big Wednesday and a rock around the clock bock.
Grand cru, fruity, clean sweet aftertaste. Tastes like Belgium wheat.
Spartacus Ipa- very fruity, stone fruits. Bitter but mellowed by hops. Still quite bitter.
Big Wednesday Ipa, not as hoppy, still bitter bit slightly more malty. Very mellow after Spartacus.
Rock around the clock bock, creamy with a malty finish. Very caramelly.

Started the day at the local taphouse in darlinghurst. Great selection of tap beer and bottled beers. 20 taps and a large range of 23 bottles to choose from.
Left to right
Happy goblin bitter- good mouthfeel, nicely bittered and a creamy after taste.
Bright mia ipa- very fruity smell, nice citrus after taste.
Hopdog ham on rye- wow it tastes like a liquid smoked ham on the bone. Very unusual taste bit still quite nice, bitter after taste.
Weihenstephan korbinian dopplebock - tastes like a beer mixed with port. Quite sweet and malty.
Murrays dark knight porter-Very strong coffee favours, malty with a bitter aftertaste.

Had a schwartz bier on the house which was pretty cool. Was talking to the gm and he offered a beer so I chose that one. Nice and roasted favours. Caramel tones to start with a noble bitterness to finish.
