I'm making a note here: huge success.

Not brewing quite as often as I used to, but I have found a bulk supplier of Orange Blossom Honey to have a real crack at a mead.

I can't believe it's been a year since I posted

I have checked on you all occasionally though!

I wondered what had happened to you.

Good to see another post from you.

Hi NTR,

Glad to hear you're still with us (both generally and on the forum :-)). I was a bit worried given it had been so long since you'd visited, hence my email to check on your welfare!

I'm just getting back in to brewing after a bit of a hiatus. Off to Grain and Grape this morning to buy some ingredients and check out their brewing demo.

Cheers,

Oliver

Yes I was a bit surprised to get that email, I completely lost track of time

Hiatus for me too - drinking the old stock to make space, busy with work, not busy enough with life, etc

Planning to make an Oatmeal Stout before the weather chills down, and perhaps something else. Also grabbed 6 cans of Coopers Ginger beer for half price as the local Coles ditched all of their homebrew stuff, disappointing, but I've made a control batch and now plan to experiment with flavours.

I'll be able to let you know as to the results of several of my GB batches in the coming weeks. I've been playing around with the coopers kit and adding honey, candi sugar, raw, brown sugars and dextrose. Also been using Belgian wyeasts yeasts, but will try another control batch soon with 1056...

Let us know how your experimentations go!

Welcome back Rabbit!!

What recipe are you using for your mead? I am looking for a decent recipe to try my hand at mead also.

It's hard to overstate our satisfaction that you're back.
We would offer you some cake to celebrate your return but it would be a lie.

God, now I've got GLaDOS' voice stuck in my head...

Congrats on the new addition. Our latest is nearly 4 months old. I made sure I had built up some brew stock before his arrival so haven't been brewing much since. Looking forward to getting back into it.

Hey Rum, I remember you.
Welcome to fatherhood, mine are 11 and 13.
I am unsure of which part of them growing up that I should warn you about.
