Dear texmex (F),
Sorry, inadvertently forgot how politically correct our unstable little world has become.
Apologies to the whole wide world except everyone who knows what I'm on about.

although, texmex(F), your ignorance (sorry) on said bottles might be an indication of the rarity and value of which I spoke.

Initially I thought your mate was mad (or a sucker in the making
) Tommo but on studying the bottle of "Vitamin X" I have just polished off, our little mate is indeed absent.
So at sometime between 1999 and now they stopped putting him on the bottles- however he was probably on millions of the buggers (certainly is on my bottle collection) so its hardly a rarity. Maybe in a few more years they might be
I have no idea when he was put on the bottles, though obviously (to you and me at least
) he's been the symbol for XXXX for many a year.

Cheers Smabb,
You're correct. He is mad but thats another story.
Just have to keep filling them up and pouring them down until they become rare i suppose mate

I'll try and take a pic and post it.
As I write I'm enjoying drinking beer and replying to posts too much to get the digital camera out and find a XXXX bottle among my 300-odd collection.
It will happen. Probably before the advent of O&G T-shirts
